Frances Marie Cerny, 81, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2006. Funeral services were held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church and Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis, on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. Mass was celebrated by Father Richard Johnston with a Rosary by the Catholic Daughters. Born in East Bernard on June 6, 1925, Frances leaves behind her husband, Simon of 61 years and their three children, Michael Cerny of Wallis, Cynthia Medina and Melinda Dohse of California, grandchildren Jerome, Robert, Dawn and Paul Cerny, Richard, Windy, Nanda and Michelle Medina, Travis Hart and Chelsea Reinhart, nine great-grandchildren, sisters Agnes Polak of East Bernard, Martha Holub of bay City, sister-in-laws, Margie Vacek of East Bernard, Mary Palmieri of San Antonio, Aurelia Cerny of Sugar Land and many dear relatives. Frances was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a lifetime member of KJZT. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, playing bingo, listening to her music, cooking for her family and company before her health began to fail. Pallbearers serving were Paul Cerny, Robert Cerny, Tim Cerny, Dennis Palmieri, Edward vacek, and Dennis Polak. The family wishes to thank all who shared a memory and laugh with Frances.
