Bellville Times

Jo Collins Williams, 71, of Bellville, died at home on February 22, 206. She
was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 10, 1934, to Leonard Martin and
Marie Peters Collins.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Allison
Franklin and Darby Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and
her sisters, Mary Ann Haygood and Chloe Medlock, and her brothers, Leonard
Martin Collins, Jr and James Collins.
During their many years in the military, Jo was very active with the Army
Community Service. While they lived in San Antonio, she worked for the
Northeast Independent School District.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Knesek Bros.
Funeral Chapel and burial was on Tuesday at Fort Sam Houston National
Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memoral contributions be made
to the Alzheimer's Association, 2909 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX
