Funeral Services for Elena Davila, 82, of Sealy were held Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev. Ray Schmidt celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment was at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Sealy. Serving as pallbearers were Lupe Solis, Jr., Frank Solis, Tony Solis, Robert Soils, Martin Perez, Jr., Joe Solis and Martin Perez, III. Born in Bastrop, she was the daughter of Estanislado and Felipa (Rodriquez) Espinoza. She was raised in Bastrop and attended school there. The former Miss Elena Espinoza married Manuel Davila in 1945 with ceremony held in Richmond, Texas. Elena was a lifetime homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy. Elena Davila died Feb. 7, 2006 in Katy. She is survived by her sisters, Guadalupe Solis of Sealy, Maggie Celandon of Austin; brothers, Prudencio Espinoza of Smithville, Guadalupe Espinoza of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Estanislado and Felipa Espinoza, husband, Manuel Davila, sister. Candy Aguilar and brothers, Pedro, Valentine and Victor Espinoza.
