In 1958 George and Agnes decided to move to Sealy and open their own business, Sealy Food Bank. Following George's death in 1970, she continued to run the business for five years, eventually selling to Port City Stockyards. She worked briefly for Production Credit Association and was employed for many years by Schoebel's Restaurant in Columbus. Sealy remained home to Agnes until her death. Agnes was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a member of Court St. Elizabeth of the Catholic Daughters, the Altar Society, the Sealy American Legion Auxiliary, the KJZT, and the Sealy AARP chapter. Throughout her life, Agnes demonstrated a love of people, an unfailing sense of humor, and a work ethic that was a role model to others. She was a devoted wife and life partner, a loving and attentive mother, a caring daughter, sister and grandmother, and a loyal friend. She showed compassion to those less fortunate than herself and will be remembered fondly for her loving spirit, generosity and strength. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
