Services for Nancy Graves Franklin, of Columbus, were conducted January 28, 2006 at Hubbard Funeral Home, in Wymar, with the Rev. Harry Brisco and Rev. Sonny Rice officiating. Interment followed in The Myrtle Cemetery in Rock Island, Texas. Mrs. Franklin died January 26, 2006 at the Park View Nursing Home, in Wymar. She was born 7 January 1929 in Perry County, AL to parents William Avery and Decima Morris. Mrs. Franklin's survivors include husband F.J. "Joe" Franklin of Columbus; step-daughter Debbie Pitts of Lineville, AL; brothers -- George Avery of Artesia, CA; and William Dan Sheffield of Maplesville, AL; sister, Polly Henderson of Stuttgart, AR; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who Mrs. Franklin dearly loved and cared for. She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister; and one son, Tommy Ivey, who died at birth. Mrs. Franklin attended school in Suttle, AL. A housewife, Mrs. Franklin was a member, most recently, of the All Around Cowboy Church in Sealy. She lived in the Columbus area since 1990. Mrs. Franklin married F.J. "Joe" Franklin in July of 1996 in Burton, Texas. Pallbearers serving included: Jimmy Anderson, Robert Luten, Robert Tabor, Mark Tabor, Gerald Moore and Harvey Leathart.
