Denver Lee Fulford, 93, passed away Monday, September 18, 2006, at Memorial Hermann Houston Hospital. Denver was born March 27, 1913 in Hico, TX to Clarence McKeage and Mable Walker. She attended schools in Hico and Stephenville, TX. Denver married Alton Fulford in Lubbock, on April 3, 1937. They enjoyed fourty six years of marriage together. Denver worked alongside Alton in their grocery business in Dallas before moving to Bellville to be closer to her stepdaughter, Joyce Hollis, and her husband Lee. Denver worked as a private sitter in homes and at Bellville General Hosptital, an occupation she enjoyed for twenty years. She was a longtime member of Bellville United Methodist Church and a member of the Methodist Woman's Society. She enjoyed sewing and loved to cook for her family. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepdaughter and son in law; as well as her brother and sister in law. She is survived by her grandchildren: Carol Jorgensen; Michael Hollis, his wife, Tina; Nancy Krumrey and her husband, Jerry; eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Wildwood Chapel in restland Cemetary, Dallas. Posted by Joy Neely
