Bellville Times

Funeral services for Clementine Humphrey, 79, of Bellville, formerly of
Bleiblerville, were held Sunday, January 29, 2006 from Knesek Bros. Funeral
Chapel in Bellville, with the Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Graveside
services were held Monday January 30, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Earthman Memory
Gardens Cemetery in Baytown. She died Friday, January 27, 2006 in Bellville.
Born in Port Lavaca, Texas, Clemmie was the daughter of Hermis and Ella
(Jahnke) Wehmeyer. She was  a homemaker all her life. In her later years,
Mrs. Humphrey traveled and one of her great adventures was riding an
elevator for the first time, not long ago.
Mrs. Humphrey is survived  by her son -- Thomas William "Tommy" Humphrey;
sisters -- Martha Towel, and Ella Wehmeyer, and sister in law Nita Wehmeyer,
and many friends that she met at Rose Hill and Briarwood Manor. Joyce Krause
and Betty Urlich were her best friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hermis and Ella Wehmeyer, husband
Sam Humphrey, son David Lee Humphrey, five brothers and a sister.
Arrangements were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels in
Bellville.
