Janicek Funeral services for Concetta Anna "Connie" Janicek, 73, of' Wallis, were held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at 9 a.m. from Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis with the Rev. Richard Johnston S.C.J., celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Entombment was at the Guardian Angel Mausoleum in Wallis. Pallbearers serving were Michael and Martin Yackel, Dennis Foyt, John Janicek, Eugene and James Engbrock. Honorary grandson pallbearers were Jase Perry, Skip Youngblood, Eric Pribyl and Hunter and Joshua Janicek. Born in Wharton, Connie was the daughter of Edward Yackel and Emily (Engbrock) Yackel. She was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School in Wharton. She worked as a librarian aide for the Wallis ISD. Connie was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughter of Americas in Wallis, Wallis American Legion Auxiliary and Austin County EEA. She is survived by her husband Alfred Janicek of Wallis; her daughter Charalene Youngblood and husband Delbert of Texarkana, Texas; her sons Alfred Janicek, Jr. and wife Ana of Riverside, Texas, Ivan Janicek and wife Annette of Wallis and her daughter Cynthia Pribyl and husband Alan of East Bernard; grandchildren Pawn Pribyl and fiance Jason Stringer, Eric Pribyl, Jase Perry, Skip Youngblood and Hunter and Joshua Janicek; sister Marcella Foyt and husband Clarence of Houston and brother James Yackel and wife Sylvia of East Bernard.
