Bellville Times

Funeral services for Edwin E. Krupala, 77, of Bellville, were held Tuesday,
January 2, 2007 at 2:00 pm from Nelsonville Brethren Church in Nelsonville
with Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Interment was in Pilgrim's Rest
Cemetery near Bellville. Serving as pallbearers were Winston Schroeder,
Ronnie Schroeder, Jamie Krupala, Paul Krupala, Mark Reynolds, and Wayne
Richard.
Born in Star Hill, Texas, Edwin was the son of Paul and Albina (Surovik)
Krupala. He was raised in Sealy, Frydek and Bellville because his family was
farmers and moved around to find work. He attended school in Sealy and
graduated from Bellville High School. He served his country in the United
States Army. Edwin worked as a Supervisor for the Texas Department of
Transportation in the Maintenance Department Bellville District, retiring
after 33 years of service. He then worked for the United States Postal
Service for 10 years as a rural route carrier. Edwin was a very active and
devoted member of the Woodmen of the World and Nelsonville Brethren Church
and a member of SPJST. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and American
Legion once holding the position of Chaplin for both. Edwin E. Krupala died
Friday, December 29, 2006 in Bellville.
Survived by his wife, Edna Krupala of Bellville, sons, Thomas Krupala of
Bellville and Clifton Krupala of Bellville, sisters, Ruth Schroeder and
husband Elmer of Houston and Irene Frank and husband Calvin of Houston,
brother, Paul T. Krupala and wife Patricia of Bellville, grandchildren,
Katie Krupala and Brandon Krupala and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Albina Krupala and one nephew,
Larry Schroeder.
