Funeral services for Annie Hugh Maxwell, 68, of Sealy, were held Monday,
October 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. from Knesek Bros. Hwy. 36 Chapel in Sealy.
Interment was at Sealy Cemetery in Sealy. Serving as pallbearers were Martin
Maxwell, Jr., Colby Maxwell, Braydon Maxwell, Kip Maxwell, Mark Garrison and
Keith Kennington.
Born in Gilmer, Annie was the daughter of Herald Wayne Meadows and Loise
Meadows. She was raised in Gilmer and graduated from Gilmer High School. On
October 5, 1956, Annie and Mr.. Gene Maxwell were married with ceremony held
in Marshall, TX. Annie was a member of First Baptist Church in Sealy. She
was a full time home maker and worked with HOA Meals on Wheels for 18 years.
Annie Hugh Maxwell died October 13, 2006 in Sealy.
Survived by her husband of 50 years, Gene Maxwell, of Sealy; her sons, Art
Maxwell and wife Gerri of Brenham; Mart Maxwell and wife Mary Ann of Sealy;
Joey Maxwell also of Sealy; brother, Harold Wayne Meadows and wife Kay of
Gilmer, TX; and grandchildren, Braydon, Kip, Martin Jr., Megan, Colby and
Kelsie Maxwell.
Preceded in death by her parents: Herald and Loise Meadows and two sisters;
Opal Mae Nye and Ottalene Meadows.
