Funeral Services for Franklin "Popsie" Novicke, 55, of Sealy, were held Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 10 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev. Ray Schmidt celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment was at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Hinze, Michael Brune, Bobby Hagen, Ernest Feik, Bennie Ondruch and Roy Dierschke. Born in Sealy, Franklin was the son of Edmund and Mary Novicke of Sealy. He was raised in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School. On July 18 1970, Franklin and the former Miss Connie Smith were married in Sealy. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy, the Sealy Knights of Columbus third and fourth degree, Sealy High School Booster Club (Past President), Sealy Volunteer Fire Department, coached Little League Boys and loved to barbecue and Fry Fish. He worked for Centerpoint Energy in Houston for 36 Years. Franklin died Friday, May 26, 2006 in Katy. He is survived by his wife Connie Novicke of Sealy; parents, Edmund and Mary Novicke; sons and daughters-in-law, Konrad and Melissa Novicke of Rosenberg, Keith and Stephanie Novicke of Sealy and Kyle and Kelly Novicke of East Bernard; sister and brother-in-law Yvonne and Troy Tesch of Sealy; brother and sister-in-law, Ben E. and Lyn Novicke of Sealy; grandchildren, Rylee, Reece, Reghan, Chyenne, McKenna, Dallas, Bailey and Grayson Novicke. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Novicke. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Renovation Fund, P.O.
