Funeral Services for Frank B. Fetter, 86, were held Tuesday, April 25, 2006,
at 11 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis with the Rev. Richard
Johnston celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment was
in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Wallis.
Serving as pallbearers for the service were Jimmy Kramer, Robert Kramer,
Johnnie Wayne Petter, Randy Potter, Jonathan Hoegemeyer and Jacob Lightsey.
Born in Wallis, Frank Benjamin Petter was the son of Frank M. Petter and
Marcella Parma Petter. He was raised in Wallis, graduated from Wallis High
School. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a flight
instructor during W.W. II. On Nov. 7, 1943, Mr. Petter and Miss Carrie Sulak
were married with ceremony held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis.
Mr. Petter was a member of the Wallis American Legion, Wallis Knights of
Columbus, Wallis Volunteer Fire Department and Guardian Angel Catholic
Church.
Frank owned and operated Petter Airport, Wallis Skating Arena, a Chrysler
Dealership, a Texaco Service Station, and was a corporate pilot for the
Moody Foundation, former Mayor of Wallis, and former Austin County Justice
of the Peace for Precinct Four.
Frank B. Petter died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Sugar Land, Texas.
Survived by his daughter Carolyn Ann and husband David Kennedy of Wallis;
granddaughters Cinthia (Dalyn) Hoegemeyer and her husband Jonathan, Carrie
Kennedy Lightsey and husband Jacob; great grandchildren Hayley and Jordon
Hoegemeyer, and Frank's best friend Rosalie Meyer of Columbus.
Preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Marcella Petter, his wife;
Carrie Petter, daughter Cinthia Karin Viaclovsky, sister Annie Mae Kramer
and brothers Arnold and John Petter.
