Bellville Times

Funeral services for Roland Henry Remmert, 93, of Bellville, were held
Thursday, June 15, 2006, at 10 a.m. from St. John Lutheran Church in
Bellville, with the Rev. Jennie Jones officiating.
Mr. Remmert died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in Bellville. Interment followed
services at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.
Born in Sealy, Texas, Roland was the son of Louis and Emma (Hartmann)
Remmert. He was raised in Sealy and attended Sealy High School. Roland was a
County Commissioner in Precinct One for 27 years.
He also owned and operated with his brother, Dennis Remmert, the Sinclair
Station for 30  years.
He married the former Miss Nola Rudloff on October 19, 1933 with ceremony
held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. He was a former council member and
council president at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville.
Mr. Remmert is survived by his daughter, Linda Pochyla, and husband Gary of
Richmond, Texas; son Larry Remmert and his wife, Ellen, of Bellville;
sister-in-law Sydney Dell Remmert of Sealy; brother Dennis Remmert and wife
Vera Mae of Bellville; grandchildren Lynn and Stephen Frank.
He was preceded in death by parents louis and Emma Remmert; wife, Nola
Remmert; and brother Kenneth Remmert.
Pallbearers serving were Lynn Frank, Stephen Frank, Ronnie Robertson, Mark
Kurtz, Mel Rinn and Craig Robertson.
