Aleen Bernice Holloway Seiberling, 87, of Bellville passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 in a Bellville nursing facility. A longtime Pasadena, Texas resident, Bernice was born Dec. 15, 1918 in Humboldt, Kansas. The daughter of Rutherford and Audrey Conklin Holloway, she grew up and attended school in Kansas. On May 2, 1942, Bernice was united in marriage with Tom Seiberling. Bernice had worked for a number of years as a nurse at the Southmore Medical Center in Pasadena. After leaving hospital nursing, she worked as an occupational health nurse. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed sewing and cooking, and treasured the time she was able to spend with her grandsons. An avid reader, she had been a member of the Pasadena United Methodist Church for many years. After moving to Bellville, she transferred her membership to the Bellville United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Mended Hearts and the Pasadena Chapter #711. Order of the Eastern Star. Bernice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Holly and Mike Wise of Bellville; grandsons Tommy Wise and his wife, Lisa, of New Ulm and Mark Wise of Bellville; great grandson Jack Wise of New Ulm and other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Odel Holloway. Funeral service was 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at Pasadena United Methodist Church, 1062 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas with Pastor Cheryl Smith officiating. Graveside service was at Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas with the Pasadena Chapter #711, Order of the Eastern Star, officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Wise, Mark Wise, Richard Seiberling, Travis Dedmon, Mark Dedmon and Jim Dedmon.
