Memorial services for Ann Simmons, 69, of Sealy, were held Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 1 p.m. from First Baptist Church in Sealy with the Rev. John Morris officiating. She died Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Sealy. Born in Paducah, TX, Ann was the daughter of William G. and Jewel (Applegate) Kirk. She was raised in Lubbock and she worked at Fort Bend Feed in Richmond for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing puzzles. She was an avid reader. Ann loved to work in her garden and she grew beautiful flowers that were seen by all who passed by. She was a big Houston Comets' fan and attended many games. Ann's real pride and joy were her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: Jack Simmons, of Wharton; daughters: Dianna Lombardi and husband Vincent, of College Station; Sandra Simmons of Houston; Suzanne Perralt and husband Terry of Hector, Arkansas; and Dawn Simmons of Houston; sisters: Sherry Jones of Roanoke, Texas; and Jackey Wygal of Scottsville, Arkansas; twin brothers, Doug Kirk of Idalou, Texas and Dennis Kirk of Grandbury, Texas; grandchildren: Alisha, Tony and Caley Lombardi and Kirk, Michele and Dyer Andrew Perralt.
