Funeral services for Raymond Smidovec, 70, of Frydek, were held Wednesday,
April 5, 2006 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with the Rev.
Bernard Snock celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment
was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers serving were Dale Ratcliff, James
Teague, Billy Teague, Brian Novosad, Stanley Jurek, Dennis Zapalac, Jr. and
Mike Egger.
Raymond Jerry Smidovec was born the son of Frank and Christine (Vaclavik)
Smidovec. He was raised in Frydek.
Raymond worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed to fish and work in
his garden.
Raymond was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek.
Raymond Jerry Smidovec passed away Monday, April 3, 2006 in Frydek.
He is survived by his brothers, Walter Smidovec and wife Dorthy of Frydek
and Eugene Smidovec and wife Louise of San Felipe and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Christine Smidovec, brothers,
Arthur, Frank and Willie Smidovec, sisters, Christine Svinky, Winnie Jurek,
Joann Novosad and Leona Teague and infant sister Mary Smidovec.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10471
Grotto Road, Sealy, Texas 77474.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel in
Sealy.
