Elsie Thielemann, 88, of Brenham, died March 12, 2006, at Brenham Rest Home. Mrs. Thielemann was born Dec. 22, 1917, in New Wehdem, Texas, to Herman William and Emma (Dannhaus) Stern. She was baptized March 10, 1918, in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem and was confirmed on April 9, 1933, in the same church. Mrs. Thielemann was educated in the New Wehdem School. On Nov. 25, 1937, she was married to Albert Charles Thielemann at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. Mrs. Thielemann was an immaculate housekeeper and always made sure everyone had the food they liked. She loved her church, Salem Lutheran Church of Salem, and appreciated the pastors¹ visits. Mrs. Thielemann took great care and interest in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Carol Thielemann of Houston; grandchildren, Michelle Perkins and husband David and Brad Thielemann and wife Elizabeth, all of Houston; great-grandchildren, Brad Michael, Mark Connor Elizabeth Grace and Katherine Ann Perkins and Anna Caroline Thielemann, all of Houston; sister, Ora Nell Broeker of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Charles Thielemann, on Nov. 5, 1995; and brother-in-law, Gilbert Broeker. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastor Charles Parnell officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Brad Thielemann, David Perkins, Marvin Thielemann, Robert Borman, Doyle Broeker, Nolan Broeker and Herman Aschenbeck. Memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church of Salem or Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, in Brenham. Posted by Joy Neely
