Funeral services for Clyde Alfred Winfield (Uncle Whimpy), 79, of Frydek, were conducted January 9 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with the Rev. Bernard Snock celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers for the service were John Eder, Henry Mlcak, Jeffery Winfield, Daryl Woodley, Floyd E. Winfield and Kenneth Harrison. He was born to Joseph Clyde and Vera Mae Northcott Winfield in El Campo and attended Blessing Public School. he served his country during WWII in the United States Army. On November 7, 1964 Clyde Aldred Winfield was joined in marriage to the former Miss Frances Bogar with a ceremony held in Frydek. He was a memebr of the VFW Post 200 in Sealy and St. mary's Catholic church. Clyde Alded Windfield died January 6, in Katy. He is survived by his wife Frances Winfield of Fydek, son Jeff Winfield of Sealy, sisters, Betty Harrison of Rose Hill, Annette Woodard and husband Wendell of Alief, Nora Montrogmery and husband Mike of Tennesee and Evelyn Nelson of Austin, brothers, Donald Winfield and wife Kate of Arizona and Floyd Winfield and wife Sadie of Corpus Christi, and granddaughter, Samantha Winfield. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Vera Mae Winfield and Kay and Lloyd Winfield. Services were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel, Sealy. Posted by Joy Neely
