Belnoske Funeral Services for John Frank Belnoske, 81, of Frydek were held Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with Rev. Thuy Quang Nguyen celebrating the funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery with Military honors. Pallbearers for the service were Billy Sowa, Vincent Sowa, Ray Hanzelka, Mike Kovar, David Januhowski and Jerome Januhowski. Born in New Waverly, Texas on Dec. 18, 1925, to parents, Lidge and Bronie Buckner Belnoske, he was raised in New Waverly, attended and graduated from Willis high school. John married the former Miss Delia Lillian Tafelski in Houston on April 24,1947. He was a lathe operator for a wood handle manufacturing company. John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek, Scaly and Willis American Legion, and the New Waverly Knights of Columbus. He loved sports, watching football, fishing, and hunting. John served his country in the U.S.Navy during WWII. Survived by daughter, Shirley and husband Gilbert Sowa of Frydek, grandchildren and spouses. Billy Sowa and Lori, Robin Hanzelka and Ray, Vincent Sowa and Jami, Angela Kovar and Mike, great-grandchildren, Breanna and Brayden Hanzelka. Preceded in death by parents, Lidge and Bronie Belnoske. wife, Delia Belnoske, sister, Pauline Abramski, brothers, William, Leon and Phillip Belnoske.
