The Rev. Douglas Branham, 79, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2007 in The Woodlands. He was born in Pearsall to Hunter and Birdie Branham. He is survived by his wife Susan Trenckmann Branham, whom which he married on Nov. 6, 1949 in Bellville. He is also survived by his mother, Birdie Branham; daughters, Suzanne Seifert and husband Rick of The Woodlands, Pamela Branham of Houston, Rebecca Kimzey and husband Brian of Cheyenne, Wyo., Michelle Layton and husband Larry of Guthrie, Okla.; son, Mark Branham and wife Karen of Friendswood; brother, Bruce Branham and wife Marilyn of Pearland and sister Carolyn Keith and husband Tom of Tomball. He is also survived by his 12 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. The Rev. Branham served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1965 and East Texas Baptist University in 1971. He served as pastor for numerous churches in Indiana, Texas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Alzheimer¹s Association or a foreign missionary or organization of your choice. A celebration of life was held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Layton officiating.
