Funeral services for Violet Cloyd, 75, of Bellville, Texas were held
Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10:00 am from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in
Bellville with Rev. Steve Olsen officiating. Interment was at Buckhorn
Cemetery in Buckhorn, Texas. Pallbearers serving were Ken Marsden, George
Wied, George Perlitz, James Harris, Barney Shows and Preston Cloyd.
Born in Milheim, Texas, Violet was the daughter of Felix Monroe Ferguson and
Melisa (Fisher) Ferguson. She was raised in Bellville and attended Bellville
High School. Violet was a lifetime homemaker. The former Miss VioletFerguson
married Raymond Cloyd November 27, 1953. She was a member of First Baptist
Church in Bellville. Violet Cloyd passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007 in
Bellville, TX.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Cloyd of Bellville, son David Cloyd
and wife Joyce of Bellville, sisters Margie Williams, Josephine Thompson and
husband Richard, brothers Robert Ferguson and wife Delores, Alfred Ferguson,
grandchild Preston Cloyd and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents Felix and Melisa Ferguson, children,
Kenneth, Terry and Connie Cloyd and brother James "Sonny" Ferguson.
