Theresa Marie Riviello Engelholm passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 in a Houston hospital at the age of 86. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellville with the Pastor Jennie Jones and Pastor David Henske officiating. Pallbearers were Josh Falke, Karl Mullineaux, James Richter, David Genzer, Dale Taska and Tray Moses. Theresa was born May 22, 1921 in Old Forge, PA. The daughter of Anthony and Carmella Volpe Riviello, she grew up and attended school in Old Forge. On May 4, 1946, Theresa was united in Marriage with Gilbert Herbert Engelholm at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. They made their home in Bellville where they were members of St. John's. Gilbert preceded Theresa in death on January 27, 2004. A devoted wife and mother, Theresa enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved flowers. She was an excellent bowler and also enjoyed knitting. She was a member of the Bellville VFW Post #6522 Ladies Auxiliary and the Sons of Hermann. She is survived by her daughter : Patty Richter and husband, Dennis; grandchildren: Chet Richter and wife, Doni, and Mindy Moses and her husband, Tray; great grandchildren: Cole and Cassie Moses, Jaxson Richter and Megan Koch; all of Bellville; and many dear friends and relatives. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents' brothers: Nicholas Riviello, Vinsen Riviello, Frank Riviello and Dr. James Riviello; sisters: Rose Moteoforte and Angeline Guariano. Interment was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
