Feik Funeral services for Joanie Feik, 60, of Sealy were held Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at 10 a.m. from immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev. Eric Pitre celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Commital. Interment was at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy. Pallbearers serving were Vincent Balusek, Ward Hagen, Bobby Hagen, Franklin Zaruba, Jim Havel, and Bob Konieczny. Born Joan Katherine Brast in Sealy, TX, the daughter of Hugo and Margaret Somer Brast. She was raised in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School in 1965. The former Miss Joan Brast married Ernest Feik on July 25, 1965. She was a member at immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy as part of Beacon Lights, Altar Society, Art Environment Committee, Bereavement Committee, Eucharistic Minister, Usher, member of the Sealy Catholic Daughters, K.J.Z.T. society, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She also worked as a seamstress and did alterations on wedding dresses. Joanie died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at her home in Sealy. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Earnest Feik of Sealy, daughters and son-in-law, Michelle and Bo Blazek of East Bernard and Wendy Feik of Sealy, son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Courtney Feik of Sealy, grandchildren, Hillarie and Jacob Blazek, sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Victor Balusek of Sealy and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
