Forster Richard Michael (Mike) Forster of Houston died February 7 of a heart attack. Mike was born on Sept. 18, 1945 in Richland, Wash., the second of three sons. He grew up in McAllen, Texas and moved to Harlingen in junior high school. Mike was a great athlete and lettered in basketball at Harlingen High School and graduated in 1964. He went to Sam Houston State where he received his BA in Business Administration. He moved to Sealy with his parents in the early 70s, left to go live in Austin while working for Campbellšs soup and returned to Houston where he worked as an accountant for EK Williams for the past 30 years. Mike had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a quick joke at hand. Mike was a beloved son of the late Pete and Francis Forster of Sealy and a wonderful brother to Peter Carl Forster of Washington D.C. and Patrick Dennis Forster of Houston and brother-in-law to his two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Forster of Washington D.C. and Christine Forster of Houston. He was a terrific uncle to his nephew, John Forster of Fairfax, VA, and his niece, Cathy Forster Connolly of Boston, MA. He is also survived by 2 great nephews and four great nieces. Funeral services were held under the direction of Knesek Bros. in Sealy. Posted by Joy Neely
