GOEKE Evelyn Goeke, 79, of Bleiblerville passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center. Mrs. Goeke was born December 10, 1927 in Industry, the daughter of Eddie and Mary (Sklar) Pilcik. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. On October 29, 1947 she married Gilbert E. Goeke, Sr. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Industry and where she remained a member. Mr. & Mrs. Goeke lived in Kenney for a year and in Latium for three years before making their home in Bleiblerville. Mrs. Goeke was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Industry and the Altar Society and a member of Bleiblerville Volunteer Fire Department. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and an employee of Blue Bell Creameries for twenty-seven years. Mrs. Goeke was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gilbert on May 28, 2006; infant sister; brothers-in-law Joe L. Peske, Jim Broz and Charles Balke, Sr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Burgess and Irene Goeke. Survivors include: her son Gilbert Goeke, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Bleiblerville; daughter Diane Supak of New Ulm; grandchildren Tracy Lynn and Kenan Meier of Welcome, Jeffory Dale Goeke and wife Rachael of Brenham, Amy Rene Supak of New Ulm and special friend Randy Haverlah and Ashley Lynn Supak of New Ulm; great-grandchildren Linsey and Joe Meier, sisters Bessie Broz of Bellville and Tillie Balke of Industry; brother and sister-in-law Eddie and Alice Pilcik of Industry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Eddie and Marie Broz of Bleiblerville, Henry and Lillie Mae Abel of Houston and Viola Peske of Houston; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The Goeke family will be present Friday, August 31, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass will be offered Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Industry with Father Tim Bucek, M.T.N., as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Balke, Jr., Bruce Pilcik, Ronnie Pilcik, Everett Schmidt, Emmett Morgan and Freddie Behnke. Honorary pallbearers are Marcus Kettler and Allan Draehn. Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Industry or the Bleiblerville Volunteer Fire Department.
