Harle Martha Mae (Horlock) Harle was born Feb. 27, 1922 in Houston, the daughter of Walter and Edna Mae Varnes Horlock. Martha grew up in Houston, graduating from Reagan High School in 1939. She worked as a secretary after high school until 1973. She then moved to Bellville and was a homemaker. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marthašs passion was playing golf. She was a member of the Bellville Golf and Recreation Club and The Falls Country Club. Martha passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 at the age of 85. She is survived by her sons: Walter Herbrig of Bellville, Ricky Herbrig and his wife JoAnn of Bellville and John Herbrig of OšFallen, Ill.; daughter Cynthia Lee Heron and her husband Leon of Thompsonšs Station, Tenn; sisters Libby Martin and her husband Glenn of Houston and LaVerne Hammonds of Oyster Creek, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service was 10 a.m., Oct. 19, 2007 at Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville with the Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Interment was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville. Serving as pallbearers were Travis Herbrig, James Scott, Wesley Goebel, Tommy Wood, Lacy Hamilton and Herbert Hamilton.
