Funeral services for Wilma Hegemeyer, 89, of New Ulm will were held
Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in
Bellville with Rev. John Morris officiating. Interment followed in Star Hill
Cemetery in New Ulm.
Pallbearers were grandsons Larry Hegemeyer. Henry Hegemeyer, Jr., Bobbie
Hegemeyer, Roy Henry Neumann, Michael McFerrin, Adam Spies, Stephen Richter
and Matthew Wied. Her other grandchildren are honorary pallbearers.
Born in New Ulm, Wilma was the daughter of Louis William Gross and Olivia
(Hultzman) Hegemeyer.
She was raised and attended school in New Ulm. Wilma was joined in marriage
to Reinhardt William Hegemeyer on Jan. 27, 1935.
Wilma died Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Brenham.
Wilma is survived by daughters, Eilene McFerrin of Kingwood, Lou Mae Neumann
of Brenham, LaVerne Watson of New Ulm, Sharon Richter and husband Lester of
Kingwood and Carol Wied and husband Carl, of Edinburg; sons, Melvin
Hegemeyer and wife Ruth Ann of New Chaney, Henry Louis Hegemeyer and wife,
Connie of Plantersville, Delton Hegemeyer and wife Lillie of New Ulm,
Delbert "Butch" Hegemeyer of New Ulm, and Bobby Wayne Hegemeyer of New Ulm,
34 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents Louis William and Olivia Gross and husband
Reinhardt William Hegemeyer.
Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels in Bellville.
