Henske Otto Charles Henske, Jr., age 71 of Madisonville, lost his battle with cancer on November 18, 2007. He was born on November 13, 1936 to Otto and Frieda Henske. He was the youngest of four children and was preceded in death by his brother, Wilbur ³Buddy² Henske and sister, Laverne ³Sister² Spitzer. He is survived by his oldest brother, Melvin ³Sonny² Henske. Otto was raised and attended schools in the Brenham area. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army in occupied Germany. In 1958, he went to work for Cameron Iron Works in Houston where he was a supervisor until retiring after 25 years. In 1959 he married Wanda Mae Pheffer. They have two children, son, Bradley Charles Henske and Kellye Diane Henske Leverett and two grandchildren, Bonnie Gayle Henske and Anne Elizabeth Henske. Upon retiring from Cameron Iron Works, he established his own business, Henske¹s Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in Bellville. After 19 years he retired and moved with his wife to Kingsland where they lived on the Llano River near Lake L.B.J. He enjoyed hobbies of fishing, hunting and traveling in their R.V. Most of all, he cherished his time with his granddaughters, Bonnie & Annie and loved being their ³Papa.² Otto and Wanda moved to Madisonville in 2006, wanting to live in a small town nearer to their families. They found a new church family upon joining the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Funeral services was held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. Graveside services followed at 3 p.m.. in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. There will be no funeral procession. Otto¹s wife, Wanda and their children and grandchildren wish to thank family and friends for their kindness and support during the loss of their loved one.
