Kemper Hildagard Ida Naumann Kemper was born Nov. 14, 1917 in Prairie Hill, Texas, the daughter of Edward and Malinda Schultz Naumann. She grew up in the Brenham and Washington County area and attended school in Prairie Hill. On Dec. 24, 1939, Hildagard was united in marriage with Theodore Kemper in Brenham. They made their home in Brenham until 1949 when they moved to Bellville. Theodore preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1979. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Hildagard was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. She enjoyed music, dancing and fishing, and was an excellent seamstress. She passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 in Bellville at the age of 89. She is survived by her children: Joyce Kemper and her friend, Jerry Henneke, and Ted Kemper and his wife, Audra, all of Bellville; grandchildren Wayne Graham and his wife, Darlene, of Bellville, Tek Graham and his wife, Starla, of Willis, and Kendra Rosenbush and her husband, J.W., of Tomball; great grandchildren Spring Graham and Aaron Graham of Willis, Colton Rosenbush and Ty Rosenbush of Tomball; brother J.F. Naumann and his wife, Cora Lee, of Brenham; and many other dear friends and relatives. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sandra Graham on Nov. 1, 1988, and her sisters: Lillie Dietzmann, Alice Witt and Melinda Kershaw. Funeral service was 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor David Henske and Pastor Jennie Jones, Officiating. Interment was in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Gerald Tegeler, Dick Dietzmann, Cary Dietzmann, Heath Kemper, Mark Boeker and Robert Abel. Honorary Pallbearers were Walter Richter, Dwayne Henneke, Butch Henneke and Larry Kershaw. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the: Bellville Volunteer Fire Department, 106 South Holland, Bellville, TX 77418 or to the St. John Lutheran Church, 520 North Holland, Bellville, TX 77418.
