Funeral services for Dan Neely King, 79, of Bellville, were held Sunday,
August 12, 2007, at 3:45 p.m. at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville,
with Mr. Charles Wilson officiating. The  eulogy was given by his
grandchildren, Rachel, and John Ratz. Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery in
Bellville.
Born in Bellville, Dan was the son of William Oscar and Lucy Mae (Marable)
King. He was raised  in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School
in 1945.
Dan served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He worked as a
Police Officer for the Federal Government.
Dan was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Jane Newman on December 23, 1947 in
Nacogdoches. He was united in marriage to Juanita Foster Chitty on September
7, 1990 in Fort Worth. Dan Neely King died Friday, August 10, 2007 in
Bellville.
Dan is survived by his wife, Juanita King of Bellville; daughter, Barbara
Ratz of Forth Worth; son, Gerald Wayne King and wife, Pam, of Clebourne;
step sons, Ronny Chitty of Irving, Ken Chitty and wife Connie of Iowa, and
Joe Chitty of Lake Whitney; grandchildren, John Mark Ratz and wife Meagan;
Stephen Ratz and Rachel Ratz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. and Lucy King, first wife
Sarah Jane Newman, infant son and brothers, C.B. King and James King.
Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel.
