Krenek
Edna Emma Zettel Krenek was born March 20, 1927, in Bellville to parents
Chas J. and Albina Chaloupka Zettel. She grew up and attended school in
Nelsonville.
Edna married Jerry Krenek in Elgin, Texas. They have made their home in
Industry and have been members of the Nelsonville Brethren Church.
Edna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and
traveling.
She passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in a Bryan hospital at the age of 80.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Krenek of Industry; stepchildren Jerry
Krenek Jr. of Freeport, Jerry Wayne Krenek of Columbus and Wanda Bray and
her husband, Glen, of Weimar; numerous step-grandchildren; sister Theresa
Stark and her husband, Quintes Sr. of Nelsonville; brothers Lawrence Zettel
and Charlie Zettel and his wife, Darlene, also of Nelsonville, and Henry
Zettel and his wife, Susan, of Alief; nieces Lisa Kaspar and her husband,
Gregory, of Nelsonville and Tammy Rich of Alief; nephew Quintes Stark Jr.
and his wife, Elida, of Nelsonville; great nieces Lilly Kaspar, Ashley Stark
and Mikayla Stark, all of Nelsonville, and Amanda Rich of Alief; great
nephew Quintes Stark, III of Nelsonville; and many other dear friends and
relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Elgin and James Zettel
and sisters Albina and Annie Zettel.
Funeral service was 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at Nelsonville Brethren
Church with the Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating.
Interment was in the National Cemetery in Nelsonville.
Pallbearers were A.Z. Zettel, David Svrcek, Eugene Krenek, James Schimara,
Michael Krenek and Richard Kudlacek.
Honorary pallbearers were Quintes Stark Jr., Gregory Kaspar and Quintes
Stark III.

Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
