Kutra Adrian Alois Kutra, passed away on Jan. 30, 2007 in Houston at the age of 65 years, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sealy to Alois Frank and Gabriella (Sliva) Kutra on Aug. 1, 1941. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Sealy, through the 8th grade and graduated from Sealy High School in 1959. He was very active in his class and in sports. He attended Lamar Technology University on a football scholarship. Then he went to Blinn Junior College, in Brenham, and received an Associate's Degree in 1961. He then attended University of Houston majoring in Math and Civil Engineering. While attending the University of Houston he was employed with the Texas Department of Public Safety. During this time he served and received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force Reserve. He then worked for A.B. Chance. And for the past 25 years, he was an Insurance Agent with Farmers Insurance in his hometown of Sealy. He was an avid golfer and served on the Board of Directors at Stephen F. Austin Golf Association. He also served as a director on the Austin County Fair Board and was a member of American Legion, Post 442. He was a very religious person and an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek and was a member of KJT. His favorite pastimes were fishing, wood working, hunting, reading and keeping up with current events. Family was the center of his life. He will always be remembered for his humorous witticism, this will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Richard Kutra. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ursula (Hielscher) Kutra; daughter, Laura Deanna, and son, aron Adrian; sister, Alexandria (Sandy) and her husband, Douglas Roberts; brother, Dominic and his wife Debbie Kutra. Nieces: Robyn (Roberts) Weller and Nichole Kutra and Nephews: Derek Roberts and Nicholas Kutra: Grandniece/nephew: Lauryn Weller and Carson Weller. Visitation was on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at 6 p.m., with the Wake starting at 7 p.m. and Rosary following at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at 10 a.m., also at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Frydek with honors provided by American Legion Post 442. Serving as Pallbearers will be Carl Hielscher, Johnny Krchnak, Meinard Kutra, Nickolas Kutra, Daniel Petras, Harold Pyka, Derek Roberts, and Doug Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Fuller, Mark Klaus, Paul Mettke, Brian Mican, and Kevin Schmidt Posted by Joy Neely
