Beatrice "Bea" Rosner Marxen, a lifelong Houstonian, passed away on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at the age of 82. She was born Sept. 22, 1924, to Leon and Luda Brandt Rosner. She was a graduate of Lamar High School. Her husband, Bob Marxen and she owned Marxen & Son Builders. Bea lead a full life, devoting much of her time to the people and projects she so much enjoyed including, the Bellville Hospital Auxiliary, the Bluebonnet Society, the Bellville Historical Society, the Bellville Quilting Guild, the Bellville Boys and Girls Club, and her church, Bellville United Methodist. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Robert James Marxen. Bea is survived by her daughter, Tamara Marxen Hahn and husband David; her son, Richard James Marxen and wife Cheryl; her grandchildren, Jessica Hahn and fiancé, Matthew Stott, Garrett Hahn, Lindsay Marxen Laudadio and husband, Paul and Ashley Marxen Whisenant and husband Justin; and her great grandchildren, Mary Claire and Cate Laudadio. A memorial service was held in Bellville on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Bellville United Methodist Church. A memorial service to be held in Houston followed at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, The Rev. W.C. Hall will officiate both services.
