Mills Richard "Rick" Mills, Jr., 47, of Burton, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1959 in Uvalde, Texas to Richard Henry Mills, Sr. and Jackie Ray Walker Mills. He graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, Calif. On May 23, 1987 he married the special love of his life, Judith Sanders, of Tehachapi, Calif. Rick worked in the oil industry for over 20 years. He owned and operated 2-MT Dozer Services, LLC. He loved spending time with family especially his wife and grandchildren, fishing, camping and loved animals. Rick is preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Ross of Bakersfield, Calif. and mother-in- law, Benetta Sanders of Tehachapi, Calif. He is survived by his loving family: wife Judi Mills of Burton; daughter and son-in-law Karissa and John Gajeske of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Linda Tosta of Brenham; grandchildren Haylie Tosta, Hanna Gajeske, Braden Tosta and Savanna Gajeske; parents Richard "Dick" Mills, Sr. and wife Donna of Brenham and Jackie Ross of Burton; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Gil Villanueva of Bakersfield, Calif.; father-in-law and mother-in-law L.E. and Wilma Sanders of Tehachapi, Calif.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Janette and Kent Ashworth of Tehachapi, Calif., Tim and Heidi Sanders of Berkeley, Calif.; special friend Johannah Griffith and husband David; special aunt and uncle Bill and Nancy Ljungdahl and their son Clint; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service was Monday. March 19 at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Pastor Teresa Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rick Mills Memorial Fund to benefit Animal Friends of Washington County. Contributions can be sent to Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, 2455 Stringer St., Brenham, TX 77833. Rick's family would like to thank, family, friends and business associates who have been so supportive during their time of loss. Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel in Brenham.
