Earline Weige Muery, age 87, passed away Saturday Jan. 6, 2007 at her residence in Bellville. Earline was born Sept. 15, 1919 in Bellville to Willie and Tony Weige. She was baptized May 7, 1922 by the Rev. J.K. Poch at St. John Lutheran Church and was confirmed on Dec. 31, 1933 by the rev. J.K. Poch at St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Bellville High School in 1937 and then attended Massey Business College. On Oct. 24, 1953, Earline was united in marriage to Allen N. Muery by Reverend A. J. Mahr. Earline and her sister, Irene Kinnison, owned and operated Weige's Fabric Store in Bellville for many years. After retirement in 1984, Earline spent many hours volunteering as a member of the Cancer Angels, Bellville Hospital Auxiliary, Bellville VFW Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary. Earline also loved to quilt. She quilted many rocking horse quilts for the Cancer Angels that were sold by the Cancer Society. Earline was preceded in death by her husband Allen Muery; sister and brother-in-law Irene and Carlton Kinnison; and her parents Willie and Tony Weige. She is survived by her niece Joann Fenelon and husband Bob of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; nephew David Kinnison and wife Denise of Austin; great nieces Lori Carnes and husband Jay of Texas City, Nicole Gray and husband Robert of Buda, Texas and their children Chase and Hailee, Bethany Music and husband Jason of Pineview, Ga., and Rebecca Kinnison of Austin; great nephews Brian Fogarty of Houston, and Larry Fogarty of San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. Pastor Jennie Jones, officiated. Interment followed at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville.
