Bellville Times

Leona Lamp Muery, was born July 22, 1915 to parents Richard and Mathilda
(Timme) Lamp. 
She was raised in Bellville and attended Bellville Schools. Leona was a life
long home maker. The former Miss Leona Lamp was joined in marriage to Mr.
Sam Charles Muery on December 23, 1936 with a ceremony held in Bellville.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was involved in  the
Mary Circle, Altar Guild and Quilting. She also enjoyed playing dominoes and
was a long time member of Woodman of the World.
Leona died Thursday, March 22, 2007 in Katy.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce M. Peden and husband Monte of
Houston; son, Charles A. Muery and wife Nancy of Lake Charles; sister,
Lynette Frenzel of Navasota; brother, Lester Lamp and wife Eunice of
Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Eric Muery, Ross Muery and wife Winnie, Jay
Peden and Joan Geiger and husband Hans and five great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Mathilda Lamp and her husband
Sam Charles Muery.
Pallbearers were: Jay Peden, Ross muery, Eric Muery, Hans Geiger, John
Pritchett and Dennis Frenzel.
