Pieper Funeral services for Brittany Dawn Pieper, 17, of Willow Springs were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby with Pastor Pamela Werrell officiating. Interment followed in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby. Friends called after 3 p.m. Monday at the Zaskoda Chapel in Industry where the family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Brittany will lie in state at the church after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Brittany Dawn Pieper was born Aug. 24, 1989, in Brenham, the daughter of David and Sharon (Krebs) Pieper. She was baptized Oct. 29, 1989 and confirmed April 13, 2003, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby. She was a senior at Bellville High School where she participated in volleyball and softball. She also participated in the PALS program and was taking classes in child development and food nutrition. Brittany also worked part time at Schulz General Store in New Ulm. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, watching TV, shopping for clothes and jewelry and spending time with her family. Brittany passed away Friday evening, Feb. 23, 2007, near Industry as a result of an automobile accident. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Calvin Krebs. Survivors include: Her parents Sharon and David Pieper; sister, Megan Pieper; brother, Colton Pieper, all of Willow Springs; maternal grandmother, Rosa Lee "Totsie" Krebs of Willow Springs; paternal grandparents, Norma and Alred Pieper of New Wehdem; uncles and aunts, Derrell Krebs and wife Janie of Brenham; Larry Pieper and wife Linda of Prairie Hill; Mary Ann Haarmeyer of Colorado; several cousins and many friends also survive. Memorials may be made to the Brittany Dawn Pieper Memorial Fund, c/o Sharon and David Pieper, 809 Krebs Road, Fayetteville, Texas 78940. Funeral arrangements by Koenig & Strickland in La Grange.
