Plagens Gloria Fay (Schaper) Plagens, 75, of Brenham, died December 1, 2007 at Trinity Care Center in Brenham. Mrs. Plagens was born September 21, 1932 to Louis and Elsie Braun Schaper at Rockhouse in Austin County. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1950, and married Willie (Bill) Plagens on October 11, 1950 at St. Johnıs Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1990. Mrs. Plagens was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Industry; the Industry Alter Society; KJZT Lodge, Shelby Fire Department, Shelby American Legion Auxiliary, and the Latium Fire Department. Gloria enjoyed helping others, working at her church, gardening, and quilting. She enjoyed working with the employees at Blue Bell. Survivors include sons Daniel Plagens; Darrell Plagens and wife Becky; four grandchildren: Cody Plagens, Penny and Brian Stolz, Eric and Pam Plagens, Sarah Plagens and special friend David Doelitsch, Jr, and a great-grandson, Andrew Stolz. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter-in-law Janice Plagens, and an infant sister. The funeral mass for Gloria Fay Plagens will be held Tuesday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Industry Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Tim Bucek,Celebrant. A rosary will be recited Monday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation will also take place Monday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Cody Plagens, Eric Plagens, Lloyd Brandt, Emil Vasicek, Bill Vasicek, and Leslie Little. Memorials may be given to the Industry Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Posted by Joy Neely
