Bellville Times
George Reinicke was born December 1, 1915 in Bellville, Austin County, Texas where he lived for the first 86 years of his life. The son of Max A.W. and Bertha Muery Reinicke, he grew up and attended school in Bellville. In 1949, George married Lenora Kemper. They made their home in Bellville on the Reinicke homestead. George was employed by Sante Fe Railroad retiring after 35 years of service. For most of his lifetime, he also farmed and ranched, and raised cattle. Lenora preceded him in death. In 2001, he married Betty Richardson of Cypress. They made their home in Madisonville. George enjoyed his family, reading, and playing cards and dominoes. He also enjoyed every-day drives through the country, beautiful sunsets and good food. He loved entertaining his friends with old family stories. He was always able to see the good in people. He passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 in Madisonville, Texas at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife, Betty Reinicke of Madisonville, son Jimmie Reinicke and his wife, Joyce, of Bellville, stepdaughters Cheryl Allday and her husband, Gerald, of Houston, and Donna Farmer and her husband, Maurice, of Cypress, grandchildren Jeffery and Juliet Farmer, Jeremy and Karen Farmer, all of Cypress, Eric Goodrich and Tyler Goodrich, Houston, and greatgranddaughters Zoe Farmer and Ava Farmer, both of Cypress. he is also survived by his nephew, Rocbert Reinicke of Bellville, and many dear friends. George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lenora, grandsons Wendel Max Reinicke, Max Lee Reinicke and Derrick Allen Reinicke, and his daughter-in-law, Karen Reinicke. Funeral services were at 10 am, Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Schmidt Funeral Chapel with Ray Mellard officiating. Posted by Joy Neely
