Richardson Kenneth Wayne Richardson Jr., much-loved husband, father, son and brother, passed away on Dec. 9, 2007 at home in Sealy at the age of 50. Born on March 9,1957 in Bryan to Glenda and Kenneth Richardson Sr., he graduated from Sealy High School and attended Blinn College and Southwest Texas State University. Kenny was raised in the livestock industry and fulfilled this lifelong passion as an auctioneer, rancher and auction barn owner and operator. He most recently served as president and general manager of Four County Auction Center, Inc., and owned interests in Calvert Livestock, Inc. and Navasota Livestock Auction Co. He and his family have operated a cow-calf operation for more than 25 years. A considerate and caring man, Kenny will be remembered as an example of utmost character and integrity within the community. He was an active member of the Livestock Marketing Association of Texas, serving as president in 2001-02. He was also a member of the sale committee of the Austin County Fair and the West End Lions Club. He was committed to community fund-raisers for many years, selling auctions for numerous churches, fire departments and charities. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sealy. Kenny's greatest love was his family and the time they spent together. Playing with his children and watching them participate in their many activities was his utmost joy and source of pride. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Donna Porter Richardson; daughters, Leah Helen and Laura Dale; son, Reid Kenneth, mother, Glenda Hillboldt; grandmother, Floy Little; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edie and Stan Speer, and Becky and Aaron Aman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Mark Switzer, and Karen and Brian Porter; stepsister and husband, Melissa and Jimmy Hobbs; mother-in-law, Allene Porter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Richardson Sr., and his stepfather, Curtis Hillboldt. Funeral services were on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at Knesek Brothers Funeral Chapel on Highway 36 in Sealy with Rev. Olin Boles and Rev. John Tyler officiating. Interment was at Sealy Cemetery. Friends and family called at the Knesek Chapel from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Pallbearers were Michael Brune, Don Dreyer, Sam Gasaway, Greg Goudeau, Robert Heist, Bradley Rinn, Philip Schafer, and Jerry Schultz. Honorary pallbearers were the many special friends and family whose devoted friendship and love Kenny treasured over the years of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to either the Sealy Scholarship Endowment Fund (939 Tiger Lane, Sealy, Texas 77474) or Sealy First United Methodist Church Youth Group (200 Atchison Street, Sealy, Texas 77474).
