Graveside services for Viola Marie Stuessel, 90, of Cat Spring, were held Friday, May 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. from Cat Spring Cemetery in Cat Spring, with the Rev. Kevin Haug officiating. Born in Cat Spring, Viola was the daughter of William CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny and Auguste (Meier) CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny. She was raised in Catp Spring and attended school in Cat Spring. The former Miss Violaa Marie CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny married Milton E. Stuessel November 16, 1937 with ceremony held in Bellville. She was a life long homemaker. Viola was a member of Cat Spring Volunteer Fire Dpt. Auxiliary, Sons of Herman, Cat Spring AG Society Auxiliary. She died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Columbus. Preceded in death by her parents William and Auguste Kollaatschny, husband Milton E. Stuessel, brothers Richard and Otto CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny, sisters Dessie mae Zaskoda, Hilda Michaelis and Elty Caletka. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Hopkisn and husband James C. of Rosenberg, grandchildren Catherine Engelbrecht and husband Bryan, Jim Hopkins and wife Vy, great-grandson William Caleb Engelbrecht, great granddaughters Elizabeth Anne Engelbrecht and Catherine Reese Hopkins.
