Travis Funeral Services for Muerl Villa Travis, 87, of Bellville were held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at 10 a.m. from First Baptist Church in Bellville with the Rev. Steve Olsen officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers serving were her grandchildren Sheila Menk, Trevor Flisowski, Sean Buro, Trista Gleason, Rikki Vacek, Treysen Flisowski, Sara Eckert, Alixandra Travis, Garrett Travis and Grant Travis. Born in Bellville, Muerl was the daughter of Manuel and Jessie (Lyons) Villa. She was raised and attended school in Bellville. The former Miss Muerl Villa was joined in marriage to Mr. Richard C. Travis on Nov. 11, 1945 with a ceremony held in Bellville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bellville. Muerl¹s favorite things were her flowers, vegetable garden, reading and her ³little sweetheart² Jaylen. Muerl V. Travis passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 in Brenham. Muerl is survived by her children, Linda Buro and husband Roger of Brenham, Shirley Flisowski of Bellville, Richard Coke Travis, Jr. of Bellville, Sandra Gustus and husband Charlie of Sealy and Gary Travis and Alys of Bellville, grandchildren, Shelia Menk and husband John of Round Rock, Trevor Flisowski and wife Lori of Bellville, Sean Buro and wife Stephanie of Round Rock, Trista Gleason and husband Jeff of Houston, Rikki Vacek and husband Darren of Bellville, Treysen ³Cokey² Flisowski and wife Kristi of Bellville, Sara Eckert and husband Ryan of Brenham, Alixandra Travis of Bellville, Garrett Travis of Bellville and Grant Travis of Bellville, great grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Eric and Jack Menk, Bryson and Aarron Flisowski, Anthony Buro, Seth Branhan, Keaton, Kaylee and Tori Gleason, Blayne Writer, Reid & Cale Vacek, Jaylen, Katie and Gavrielle Flisowski, Zachary, Samantha, Kristin and Addison Eckert. Preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Jessie Villa, sisters, Leona Carr and Ora Nell Villa, and brothers, Joseph Manuel Villa and Jessie Lewis Villa.
