Julia Regina Wostarek of Frelsburg was born Aug. 31, 1924, the daughter of John and Bertha Canik Wostarek and died May 24, 2007 at the age of 82 in Bellville General Hospital. She was a retired L.V.N. nurse. She worked for Sealy hospital for 40 years and Bellville General Hospital 14 years. Funeral service was held Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg under the direction of Henneke Funeral home in Columbus with Father Wayne Flagg officiating. Parish prayer service and rosary was held at 6 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Frelsburg. Serving as pallbearers were Monroe Wostarek, Thomas Wostarek, J.C. Wostarek, Kenny Walla, Michael Wostarek and Patrick Wostarek. She was baptized in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg on Sept. 7, 1924 and confirmed on Oct. 10, 1943. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society, KJZT, Frelsburg Country Quilters. She was also very active in the Texas Women's Bowling Association. Survivors include sister Bessie Walla and husband Leander of Ramsey, Texas; brothers Erwin Wostarek and wife Helen of La Grange and Leonard Wostarek of Frelsburg; sister-in-law Cora Wostarek of Frelsburg and numerous nieces and nephews. Julia Regina Wostarek was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Canik Wostarek; brother Justin V. Wostarek; nephews Allen Wostarek, Thomas Wayne Walla and Karl Wostarek; niece Elizabeth Klausmeyer; great nephew C.J. Shupak and great niece Monica Muehr. Posted by Joy Neely
