NOTE: I only do transcribing and helping people with genealogical research. I have nothing to do with the cemetery, so if you are looking for information on purchasing plots or rules and regulations of the cemetery, contact the caretaker or a local funeral home.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not live in Robertson County and cannot do research.

Mumford
On land formerly owned by James H. Astin & his children. When going from Mumford towards Caldwell on the paved Hwy. 50, turn right onto the dirt road immediately after you go over the train tracks (just past the Mumford School). This unmarked road was formerly County Road 206. The cemetery, which is identified by a single marker, is out in the middle of the field to the left. It is a little further down 206 towards the river from the old Astin home/barn that sits on the right. This private property is currently leased and is being cultivated by James Jones. Although it is not marked, the Astin Farm Cemetery is where the single cross is, between the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Brazos River.
A marker reads: "Negro Burial Ground. Established 1841. Well Done Thy Good And Faithful Servant."
