From the traffic signal in Franklin, take Farm Road 46 North 3.8 miles to Owensville, turn right at the Owensville Store onto Farm Road 979,
proceed 2.7 miles, where 979 intersects 2293, turn right to stay on 979, go 2.8 miles (West Boone Prairie Cemetery will be on your left),
just before the power plant, turn right onto County Road 376 (East Boone Prairie Cemetery Road), after 1 mile dirt road makes a sharp
left, turn right, proceed .2 miles
Several different families left the small towns/communities of Bellefonte, Fackler, Hollywood, Pisgah, & Stevenson in the northeastern corner of Jackson County, AL in the early 1870s to settle in Robertson County. Surnames of some of these families moving from Jackson County, AL to Robertson County, TX include: Bolton, Brazelle, Henry, Holder, Lollar, Russell, Rutherford, Starkey, Talley, Thompson, & Thornton.

Emma Mae Boyd, 99, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Saturday,
March 12, 2011 in Carrollton, Texas.
She was born on March 15, 1911 in Rockdale, Texas to Isaac
Walker Murchison and Vera Easterly Murchison.
She was a 1929 graduate of Franklin High School and received
both her bachelors and masters degree from the University of
Houston. She was employed with the Houston I.S.D. as elementary
school principal before her retirement in 1973.
She spent many years as a teacher and was principal of Milam,
Hartsfield and Mitchell Elementary School in Houston I.S.D. She
was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband,
Charles Booth Boyd. She is survived by: Daughter and Son-in-law:
Virginia B. and Hamid Alrikabi of Carrollton Son and
Daughter-in-law ? Charles W. and Patsy Boyd of College Station 4
Grandchildren ? Michael W. Boyd, John R. Boyd, Omar H. Alrikabi
and Ramsey H. Alrikabi, 7 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:00 A.M.
at the Franklin United Methodist Church. Rev. Lindsey Smith and
Omar Alrikabi will officiate. Burial will follow in the East
Boone Prairie Cemetery in Robertson County. Visitation will be
held on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral
Home in Franklin.
