Augustine Public Library Board of Directors. Originally

Location: Travel 2.7 miles from the court house on Hwy 147. Turn right on the Tinsley Road for 1.2 miles to a fork. Keep to the right for 3.2 miles to the "Overmill Creek". This was the site of the Harding Mill and Gin in the 1850's. This was known as the Logansport Road. Continue 4/10 of a mile more. on the right about 50 feet from the road was once the old Harding home place. Later it became known as the Ogden home place. The old house was still standing in 1981. The cemetery is thought to be about 150 yards down the road from the house. In 1981 when this was originally written, there were large cedar trees standing in the area of land that was higher than the road and perhaps the site of the cemetery. There may be others buried here. There are no monuments. |
