Location:  7 miles from the San Augustine Courthouse on Hwy 96 south to hwy 103.  Turn right and travel 2 miles to FM 3279.  Turn left and travel .1 miles.  Turn left on a dirt road and travel .2 mile to the cemetery.

History from Bobbie Dickerson McMillan:  Thru stories and heresay, I believe that is was determined that Levi Dickerson, age 11, was probably the first to be buried here in 1858.  The story was that he was kicked by a horse and died as a result.  At that time the Dickerson homestead was on a hill across the creek from where he was buried and as the tradition was then, burials were on hills so as not to flood when the rains came.  I'm sure he was buried there so his mom, Lucinda Dickerson, could look out her window and see his grave.  A few years later, two more of Buck and Lucinda's sons were buried there, both dying in the War Between the States.  William and Lushia (Barnes) Dickerson's young son was buried here in 1870.  The earliest mention of a cemetery was in 1887 when 12 acres of the Dickerson land was sold to the Harveys and the survey was to exclude the cemetery.
