J. Dry, Sr., Project Engineer. The cemetery was originally located in San Augustine County. When Sam Rayburn Reservoir was built, 9 graves were reinterred in the Brookeland Cemetery in Sabine County-One Townsend infant was reinterred in the Townsend Cemetery, San Augustine County. 3-04 Miller Cemetery, No 21 Tract # 708-C Description: The Miller Cemetery is located 4.5 miles northwest of the town of Brookeland and is south of the Massie Crossing and Brookeland Road on land owned by the estant of Eliza Miller. About 2160 square feet of this cemetery is enclosed with a net fence. There are 10 graves in this cemetery, 7 of which have formal markers and 3 have native stones. All the persons interred are known. This cemetery was in use in the 1880's and the last burial was in 1941.
