LORETTA E. (TOMMY) BURNS passed away May 31, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 yrs., John C. Burns, Jr. who passed away November 19, 2008. She was born January 5, 1926 in Pass Christian, MS. She
grew up in Beaumont, TX. and graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1943. As a professional genealogist, Tommy was involved with many originations including the Jane Long D.A.R., the U.D.C., Magna Carta and Colonial Dames. She is survived by 2 sisters
Geraldine Linker and Coralie (Lee) Ferrara, 3 nieces Catherine Louvier, Sandra Mastren and Karen Jafari, 2 nephews Wm. Linker and Robert Louvier. There will be a visitation from 5pm to 9pm and a rosary starting at 7pm Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Forest Park
Lawndale. Funeral Mass will be at St. Pius Catholic Church 824 S. Main St. Pasadena, TX. 77506. Interment will follow after mass at Forest Park Lawndale. |

Tommy was a lifetime member of The Montgomery County Genealogical Society. She along with Imogene Kennedy were co-founders of this society.
Tommy and her husband John were very generous with their support and gifts to our society and the genealogy department of the library. |

Services will be held by Forest Park-Lawndale in Houston. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M.. Services will be Friday at 10 A.M. |
