Ms. Barbara H. Franz, retiring genealogy
librarian of MCMLS
The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is an organization of men who by traditional genealogical methodology have proved bloodline descent from individuals who served in the American Revolution.
The local Freedom Chapter of this organization presented to Ms. Barbara H. Franz as well as other awards the Silver Good Citizenship Medal, established in 1939, on her retirement after 27 years of service to the library system on 3/31/2011. The medal was awarded to Ms. Franz for her extensive service to the community in the fields of genealogy and education.
